A cyanide-free new technology addresses the brittleness of high-brightness coatings caused by excessive thickness, with a two-component additive system that independently controls dispersing power and brightness.
High dispersing power; in the high-current region (4 A/dm²) and the low-current region (0.2 A/dm²), the coating thickness ratio is 1.2–1.5, resulting in reduced zinc consumption.
The coating achieves a mirror‑like finish, comparable to bright acidic zinc; the blue‑white passivation does not yellow. For barrel plating, a 20 µm‑thick coating can be bent freely, and after 2 hours of baking at a constant 200°C followed by rapid cooling, no blistering occurs.
The passivation film exhibits superior adhesion compared to acid zinc, with excellent high‑temperature resistance; even at 40°C, the plating bath continues to produce qualified products. It offers deep‑plating performance that surpasses both cyanide zinc and acid zinc, a broad operating window, and strong resistance to impurities. The bath can be prepared using ordinary caustic soda and tap water, and its additives are highly stable. It is suitable for both barrel plating and rack plating, with easy maintenance, non‑toxicity, and straightforward wastewater treatment.
