What are the precautions for using black zinc sealant?
When using black zinc sealant, it is essential to strictly control process parameters and operating procedures to ensure a uniform coating appearance, consistent blackness, and stable corrosion resistance, while also maintaining production safety. Workpiece Pre‑treatment: The workpiece must first undergo galvanizing, degreasing, descaling, activation, and black passivation, with a clean surface free of oil, water stains, and adhering dust. After passivation, thoroughly rinse with clean water to prevent residual acid or alkaline solutions from entering the sealing bath, which could cause the sealing solution to age and develop blackening or mottling. Bath Solution Control: Prepare the bath solution according to the manufacturer’s specified concentration; do not arbitrarily increase or decrease the concentration. Maintain proper temperature, time, and agitation/spraying conditions—excessively high temperatures can lead to peeling or bluing, while too low temperatures result in insufficient blackness and poor corrosion resistance. Regularly monitor bath parameters and replenish the sealant as needed. Operating Procedures: During immersion, spraying, or ultrasonic sealing, ensure complete wetting of the workpiece surface, with no air bubbles trapped in crevices or holes. After removal, allow excess bath solution to drain off to avoid streaks or water marks. Curing temperature and time must meet specifications to ensure a dense, well‑adhered film. Post‑treatment Requirements: Following sealing, perform drying and curing according to the prescribed process; avoid natural air drying, as this may cause mottling, dust adhesion, or reduced corrosion resistance. After drying, cool the parts to room temperature before packaging and stacking to prevent scratching or sticking. Safety and Storage: Most sealants are chemical products; wear acid‑ and alkali‑resistant gloves and eye protection during handling to avoid skin and eye contact. Do not allow the bath solution to come into contact with other chemicals. Store the product sealed in a cool, well‑ventilated area, away from sources of ignition, high temperatures, and strong acids or bases, to prevent degradation or potential safety hazards.

Application areas of black zinc sealant
Black zinc sealants are primarily used for black passivation and sealing of electroplated zinc, Dacromet, and other coating systems, significantly enhancing corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and surface aesthetics. They are widely employed in industries such as hardware, machinery, and electronics, where both corrosion protection and visual appeal are critical. In the automotive and construction machinery sectors, black zinc sealing is one of the core application areas. Components like vehicle frames, chassis fasteners, engine parts, transmission components, bearing housings, and hydraulic elements exhibit markedly improved salt‑spray resistance after black zinc sealing, while maintaining a sophisticated, low‑key black finish that is both durable and resistant to abrasion—meeting stringent requirements for long‑term outdoor use, corrosion protection, and aging resistance. In the electronics, electrical appliances, and telecommunications industries, black zinc sealants are commonly applied to enclosures, connectors, brackets, heat‑dissipating components, sensor housings, and similar parts. They deliver a uniform, matte black appearance while providing excellent insulating properties, thus addressing the dual needs of electronic devices for rust prevention, antistatic performance, and aesthetic appeal. In the hardware, building materials, and security sectors—such as door locks, hinges, slides, fasteners, and decorative hardware—black zinc sealing imparts a high‑end, matte black finish, elevating product sophistication while resisting the corrosive effects of humid, acidic, or alkaline environments and extending service life. Furthermore, black zinc sealants are extensively utilized in instrumentation, furniture hardware, outdoor equipment, and other fields. Combining corrosion protection, decorative enhancement, and wear resistance, they serve as an indispensable post‑treatment material for black‑zinc‑plated components, particularly well suited to high‑end manufacturing applications that demand both superior corrosion resistance and consistent aesthetic quality.

What is the method of using the degreasing and dust-removal cleaning agent?
Oil‑removal and ash‑cleaning agents are typically applied using one of three methods: immersion, spray rinsing, or ultrasonic cleaning. The operational steps are as follows: Dilution: Prepare the solution according to the product instructions by mixing the cleaner with water at the recommended ratio; a typical concentration is 5%–10%. Stir thoroughly, then pour the solution into the cleaning tank. Temperature Control: Room temperature is acceptable, but heating to 40–60°C yields better results and significantly accelerates oil and ash removal. Cleaning Methods: Immersion Cleaning: Fully submerge the workpiece, agitate or turn it over, and allow it to soak for 3–10 minutes. Ultrasonic Cleaning: Use ultrasonic waves; complex cavities and tight crevices can be cleaned in just 2–5 minutes. Spray Rinsing: Suitable for production lines, apply at a pressure of 0.2–0.4 MPa for 1–3 minutes. Post‑Treatment: After all oil and ash residues have been removed, take out the workpiece, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and then dry it by baking or air‑drying to prevent watermarks and re‑rusting. Maintenance: When the cleaning solution becomes contaminated, replenish it with fresh cleaner or replace it entirely to ensure consistent cleaning performance.
